In January 2005, The National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome launched its new Affiliate Program in an effort to unify the call for prevention, identification, and treatment of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).
NOFAS and its Affiliates will undertake collaborations to build community coalitions, conduct public outreach, coordinate advocacy efforts, and create media awareness campaigns.
NOFAS is working with its current affiliates on region specific projects such as holding statewide FASD conferences, establishing statewide task forces, and organizing educational and training programs. Affiliates will receive technical and programmatic assistance from NOFAS throughout these ongoing collaborations. NOFAS’s First Affiliate Summit will be held in May 2005 in Washington DC
The affiliate program is open to proven organizations that share the NOFAS mission and vision. Please contact NOFAS for more details about the affiliate program.
